The island’s high school basketball
teams cleared the second day of the Menehune Classic Friday evening, with Pahoa
and Kohala taking 2-0 leads in the three-day tournament.
Unlike Thursday’s
games, in which all three island schools were defeated by the visiting teams,
Kapa’a High’s team defeated St. Anthony’s 61-52.
Kaua’i High lost to Pahoa
by a score of 53-41, while Kohala squeaked by Waimea High 75-73.
