The Kaua’i Men’s Open Basketball League has concluded regular-season play,
and will begin a double-elimination tournament at the Kalaheo Community Center
Thursday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
The first game pits second-seeded Matais
against seventh-seeded Kimana. At 7:15, Lizard Lounge, the third seed, faces
Kuhio Motors, the sixth seed. The final game of the evening may provide the
most excitement, as the No. 4 Red Dirt Boys face No. 5 Rob’s Good Time at 8:15
p.m. The first round of the playoffs conclude Sunday at 5 p.m. when top-seeded
Puhi Paint faces the Killah’s, seeded eighth.
Many have said that the
competitive level of this league exceeds that of any in recent memory. The
tournament, then, should be exciting.
