As I sat in traffic Oct. 13, waiting for the work crew at the Hughes’ Kealia
subdivision do their noisy, muddy thing along Kuhio Highway, I thought back on
an editorial you printed chiding the Hawaiians for their plans to pass out
independence literature to motorists because it would impede the flow of
traffic a few miles north in Anahola.
Apparently it’s OK for those
plundering the earth for their own profit to bring traffic to a grinding halt.
But God forbid the kanaka maoli should cause us any
inconvenience.
