Oh, man, here we go again. Where do these people come from? I’m writing this
letter to remind the thieves (I hope they can read) who they are messing with
(TGI Sept. 14, “Station burglarized while firefighters battling fire”). Our
fire department is the soul blood of Kaua’i. Every time you need them, they
appear.
Not too long ago, I was in need and they were there before the
ambulance. After a few days went by, while I was still recovering from
injuries, I received a card from them wondering how I was doing. I gave them a
call (LIhu’e station) to let them know. Can you dig it? They told me the soup
was on, did I need food, they would even deliver if need be. How cool can you
get?
Our brotherhood of fire personnel are the same, islandwide and
statewide. I hope when your time in need comes knocking at your door, as you
look up into the faces of your rescuers, you realize your mistake.
Turn
your butt in, and never do it again.
