Sorry, but the excuse of being too busy doesn’t wash any more for not
registering to vote in Hawai’i.
The state Office of Election, recognizing
that active lifestyles do make it a difficult chore, has come up with a more
convenient and accessible way of signing up to vote. In conjunction with the
Association of Clerks and Election Officers of Hawai’i, the state election
officials have introduced Wikiwiki Voter Registration: In essence, forms that
can be filled out and mailed in. For those who need it, election instructions
are available in Japanese.
Whatever the language, call the voter hotline at
1-800-442-VOTE (8683) for more information. And vote.
