this week on 22 panels, which range from the Island Burial Council to the
University of Hawai’i Board of Regents. All of the groups do important work in
their advisory and quasi-regulatory roles, often with little attention from the
public-and, as a result, usually with little thanks. So let’s correct that by
pointing out what state officials already know: The board and commission
members contribute expertise and knowledge that is invaluable to the populace
and its government.
