Na Kolohe 10, Nogi’s 2
Kani Curnan had 2 RBI on a single and a
double to lead Na Kolohe to their 13-hit victory over Nogi’s who was held to
just four hits by pitcher Norman Holt, Jr. who allowed just two walks in the
win.
Other big bats for Na Kolohe had Scott Kouchi pairing singles with an
RBI, Nolt, Jr. banging into a double and a triple with an RBI, and Mike Soong
pairing singles with an RBI.
Russell Nakata paired singles for
Nogi’s.
Kyle Nakagawa suffered the loss allowing 13 hits with a
walk.
Kathleen Glass 5, Custom Limo 4
Davis Oshiro scored the winning
run in the bottom of the eighth inning tie-breaker for Kathleen Glass who
managed to outhit Custom Limo 15-8 in their 5-4 win.
John Shishido was the
big bat with three singles with an RBI for Kathleen Glass followed by David
Carveiro, Sam Sheldon, and Oshiro pairing singles. Wendall Nonaka whacked into
a double, and Galen Shigeta tripled in the outing.
Derek Rapozo had a 2-RBI
single to lead Custom Limo with Destry Carvalho pairing singles.
Eric
Sakazaki and Shigeta combined in the win with Sakazaki picking up the nod on 7
hits with 4 walks. Shigeta allowed just a hit.
Lambert Alapai suffered the
loss for Custom Limo.
Kaua`i Fire Dept. 4, Hana Hou 2
Mike Scovel’s
sacrifice fly to score Clinton Fujii pushed the Kaua`i Fire Department to their
4-2 win over Hana Hou, earning the firemen the first round title.
David
Bukoski had a 2-RBI single for the Kaua`i Fire Department.
Don Ouderkirk
paced Hana Hou with an RBI double with Randy Riggan pairing singles.
Gregg
Morishige picked up the win allowing nine hits with a walk, and striking out
three while Ouderkirk suffered the loss, allowing five hits with a walk.
