K. Hendrickson helped Kapa`a High move to a 75-62 showing over Kimana in the
Kaua`i county men’s open basketball league played at the Kalaheo Neighborhood
Center.
G. Serrato topped the Kapa`a scoring roster after coming up with 11
of his game-high 17 points in the second half.
Steve Pringle had 16 points
to pace Kimana.
Duane Shimogawa had 20 points to lead Matais to a 79-49 win
over G & G Repair who was led by Jaime Cabral and Kevin Kalikini who each
ended the night with 14 points.
Kelii Bandman fired three 3-pointers a
field goal and had a successful half of a charity pair to combine with Chad
Gummerus for a trey and four field goals to lead It Doesn’t Matter to a 29-23
halftime lead that was shattered by the efforts of Matt Taba and Kaleo Smith of
Puhi Paint in the second half to wrap up a 54-49 win.
Taba ended the night
with 22 points to lead Puhi while Bandman finished with 19 points to pace It
