In addition to the women winners, Moki Okami and Keith Ward
earned strong press honors in the Men’s Masters division with Sean Tamura and
Keoki Rapozo taking the Teenage Boys class.
Ben Brown and Kalika alves took
the Men’s Open competition.
A total of 31 lifters competed in the July 15
competition that featured a special exhibition bench press by Shane McShane of
The Gym Honolulu who pressed 585 pounds at a bodyweight of 240
pounds.
McShane will be competing in the World Championships in Reno,
Nevada in November.
