Dowling, Marti get Linfield College scholarships

McMINNVILLE, Ore.—Malia Dowling of Kapa`a, and Maja Marti of Anahola have been

awarded Faculty Scholarships at Linfield College.

They are both 2000

graduates of Kapa`a High School.

Faculty scholarships are worth 20 to 50

percent of tuition costs and are awarded to a select number of students with a

minimum of 3.4 grade point average on a scale of 4.0. In addition to grade

point average, ACT or SAT scores and academic coursework were factors in

selecting the Faculty Scholars. Linfield awarded 167 Faculty Scholarships to

entering freshmen for the upcoming academic year.
