May 28, 1949, she is survived by her mother, Tomoe Yoshimori Higa of Koloa,
Kaua’i; brothers, Gordon (Andra) Higa of LIhu’e, Kua’i and Eugene (Kimberly)
Higa of Kihei, Maui; sister, Jennifer Higa of Koloa; grandparents, Bun
Yoshimori of Koloa and Masei Higa of Koloa.
Private services were held.
Hosoi Garden Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Lytwynic
Jennie R. Lytwynic of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died July 1, 2000 at
her home at the age of 71.
Born in Milford Massachusetts on May 24, 1929,
she was the Secretary of the Kalaheo Senior Center.
Survivors include:
her daughter Maria with whom she resided in Kalaheo, her son Michael from
Sacramento, Calif. her sister Marie Peroni from Hopedale, Mass., and her niece,
Kathleen Peroni-Callahan of No. Reading, Massachusetts.
Private
services will be held at a later date by her family. Memorial donations may be
made to Kauai Hospice.
Doris Sasaki
Doris Chie (Chibu-chan) Sasaki died
June 28, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.
She was born
May 30, 1928, in Utsunomiya, Japan.
She is survived by her husband of 49
years: David Kanji Sasaki of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; two daughters: Shirley (Clifford)
Tani of Wailua Homesteads and Alice Sasaki-Yamamoto (Darryl) of Lihue; two
granddaughters; four sisters: Masako (Rodney) Kline of Texas, Yoshiko Aizawa,
Nobuko Ito, and Toshiko Ozawa of Utsunomiya, Japan; and one brother: Minoru
Takeuchi of Utsunomiya, Japan.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kauai
Mortuary.
Clovis Shepherd
Clovis Shepherd of Lihu’e, died June 30,
2000, at his home at the age of 62.
An engineer for the Department of
Defense, he was born Nov. 27, 1927, in Kentucky.
He is survived by one son:
Jeffrey (Belle) Shepherd of Hanalei; one granddaughter: Lillie Shepherd of
Hanalei; and one sister: Carol Sue Hughes of West Virginia.
Services will
be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i
Mortuary.
