Run ‘N Gun, Puhi open KYBA 17U girls season on winning note

KAPA`A—Four of the five teams in the Kaua`i Youth Basketball

Association/county of Kaua`i 17-Under girls took the courts at Kapa`a High

School on Monday night with the Run ‘N Gun, coached by Alex Naumu demolishing

the Kilauea Hui under Mits Yokotake 63-3, and Clarence Sales’ Puhi Wildcats

squeaking by the Boys & Girls Club (Kapa`a) 26-23.

The Boys & Girls

Club squad is coached by Les Quisano with the fifth team in the program,

Kaua`i, coached by Penny Vess, having a bye.
