half to pace the Red Dirt Boys to a 71-58 victory over G & G Repair as
the Kaua`i Open Men’s League kicked off their June-July schedule with four
games at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on Sunday afternoon.
Jaime Cabral
and Kevin Kailikini each tucked away 13 points to pace G & G Repair with
Elton Montemayor following with 12 points on the night.
Chris Acoba and
Chuck Reichle each put away 12 points in the first half to pace Puhi Paint to a
62-50 win over “Da” Realist in the second contest.
Acoba topped the Puhi
scoring with 20 points in the outing with Chuck Reichle finishing with
17.
John Patch topped “Da” Realest scoring with 17 points with Cody Dolor
and Cy Tamura adding 11 points apiece.
Rich Calipano had 16 points to pace
Matais to a 75-54 win over the Big Boys with Jeff Sullenbager having a 12-point
first half enroute to his 15-point outing.
Desmond Moniz topped the Big
Boys with 20 points.
Snap topped Kapa`a High 75-66 behind a 27-point
showing by Vinda Caringo with Nasil Alberg ending the night on a 22-point
note.
G. Sorreto led Kapa`a with 18 points.
The league, coordinated by
Ricky Rita, plays each Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Kalaheo
Neighborhood Center.
There is no charge for admission.
