Veterans Memorial Hospital on June 18, 2000, at the age of 85.

Loading Machine Operator with Olokele Sugar Co., also a member of the Kaumakani
Senior Citizens Club, member and officer of the ILWU Unit 3105 Olokele Sugar
Co., Coach for Unit 3105 Fastpitch Softball Team and Kaumakani Fil-Am Softball
Team.
He is survived by: his wife: Consuelo “Connie” Baniaga of
Kaumakani, Kauai; one son: Patrick (Suku) Baniaga of Kaumakani, Kauai; one
daughter: Marianne (Mark) Upward of Vermillion, South Dakota; grandchildren:
Pedryn Sanoe Baniaga, Patrick Apolonio Baniaga, Teisha Terril Upward, Terri
Lynn Upward, Tyra Leianne Upuward, and Tristen Malia Upward; five brothers:
Francisco Baniaga of Kaumakani, Kauai, Segundo (Angeline) Baniaga of Eleele,
Kauai, Genofre Baniaga of Waipahu, Oahu, Lauro Baniaga and Emillio Baniaga,
both of the Philippines; four sisters: Petra Valencia of Philippines,
Francisca Gallegos and Helen (Bonifacio) Ramos, both of Waipahu, Oahu, and
Pacita (Demetrio) Alonso of Philippines; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 24,
at the West Kauai United Methodist Church, Kaumakani; service to begin at 11
a.m. followed by burial at the Hanapepe Public Cemetery. Casual attire is
suggested.
