Architect hopes KHS board will reconsider its decision

To the Forum:Attn: Laura Wiley, President

Kauai Humane Society board

Congratulations on a lovely Kauai Chamber of

Commerce, Business After Hours, Open House! A magnificent project and, I

think, a great asset to our island.

Now that you have won your battle over

the Executive Director, I feel you have lost the war! I sincerely ask that you

please reconsider your recent action and begin to make amends.

I think

the thoughts, dreams and efforts of the Hoe Family were and are spectacular and

that the new facility is a great tribute to their dedicated leadership and

unselfish devotion. I feel you have unduly harmed them and this reflects very

poorly on our County.

All Kauai is the loser in your abrupt change of

leadership, especially at this time. I pray that you will consider a change of

heart, giving just recognition to the Hoe Family and consider a mediation

process to affect a just compromise where all Kauai can be the winner.

not, certainly an independent, impartial and unbiased committee should be

formed to outline the future of your Society. It is a real shame if

personalities are allowed to rule over principles.

Thank you for this

opportunity to express my feelings and concerns.
