David Valmoja, Sr. David Gorospe Valmoja, Sr. of Hanama’ulu, died May 23,

2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 76.

An irrigator for Lihu’e

Plantation, he was born Dec. 5, 1923, in San Juan, Ilocos Sur,

Philippines.

He is survived by his wife: Lucena Serrano Valmoja of

Hanama’ulu; nine children: Lagrimas (Vic) Villon of Lihu’e, Expedita (Greg)

Sortiano of Hanama’ulu, Tino (Angie) Valmoja of Kapa’a; Artemio (Betty) Valmoja

of Hanama’ulu; Mario (Zeny) Valmoja of Hanama’ulu; David (Helene) Valmoja of

Lawai; Freddie (Celia) Valmoja of California; Rosemarie (Romell) Guerrero of

California; Pauly (LaPlane) Valmoja of Hanam’ulu; two sisters: Veronica

(Ernesto) Alayvilla of Lihu’e, and Guadalupe Bugarin of the Philippines; and

one brother: Porpireo Valmoja of the Philippines; 32 grandchildren, 12

great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may

call on Thursday, June 1, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:45

.m. where services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Paul. Burial to

follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.

Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements

are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
