K-5 to broadcast girls basketball championship games

HONOLULU (April 5, 2000) – The Hawaii High School Athletic Association andK-5

reached an agreement whereby K-5 will televise both semifinal games and the

championship game of the State Girls Basketball Championships on May19 and

20.

“We’d like to thank K-5’s John Fink and Dan Schmidt for their

cooperation and tremendous support of Hawaii’s high school student-athletes,”

HHSAA Executive Director Keith Amemiya said.

The semifinals will take place

on Friday, May 19 with gametimes at 7:05 and 8:35 p.m. The finals will be on

Saturday, May 20 and tipoff will be at 8:05 p.m.
