Event raises over $11,000 for the 2000 Visitor Industry Charity

— On Friday, April 28, the 1st Annual Caroline Isaacson Charity Walk Golf
Tournament was held at Kiahuna Golf Course and Joe’s on the Green.
event, organized by Caroline Isaacson and Brenda Sameshima, included 18 holes
of golf under beautiful Poipu skies, a spectacular party hosted by Joe’s on the
Green, as well as a silent auction. Over 130 golfers participated in the event
raising over $11,000 for the 2000 Visitor Industry Charity Walk.
Isaacson, the 1999 Golden Slippah Challenge Award Winner for the Hawaii Hotel
Association Visitor Industry Charity Walk organized the tournament with all
proceeds going to the 2000 Visitor Industry Charity Walk. The tournament was
held in honor of the many Kauai charities and non-profit organizations who
cared for Caroline’s mom over the years.
“As a business partner and
good friend, I have the utmost respect for Caroline,” stated Joe Batteiger
of Joe’s on the Green. “Her incredible energy and tenacity is
unparalleled and these qualities shined with the success of the golf
Kauai’s single largest fundraising event, the Visitor
Industry Charity Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 20. Walkers will converge
at Kukui Grove Park and Pavilion at 7:00 a.m. to once again raise monies for
Kauai’s charities and non-profit organizations. All proceeds remain on Kauai
and are utilized by Kauai residents.
