LIHU`E – The Red Raiders exploded from the onset of their game against the
visiting Kapa`a JV team to leave little doubt about their basketball ability as
they left the courts with a 48-14 victory behind the scoring of Belinda Butac
who chalked up a trey in her 14-point contribution.
Kapa`a, however, was
not going to give up despite a strong 19-4 first quarter Raider showing. The
JV Warriors held the Raiders to just a single basket by Kellie Masuda in the
second quarter as they outshot Kaua`i 4-2.
