Boys & Girls Club, On Fire, and Kapa`a High teams were victorious in the
county’s 17 & Under boys basketball games played Monday night at the
Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Boys & Girls Club 50, Waimea JV

Danson Gonzales and Chris Danner topped the Boys & Girls Club
scoring with 12 and 11 points each in their win over the Waimea JV
team.
Jay Parinas was Waimea’s high point er with 13 points followed by
Ricky Riopta’s 12-point effort.
On Fire 63, Team Ekahi 32
RJ Pillos
exploded for 23 points to pace On Fire’s win over Team Ekahi.David Medieros’ 9
points headed up the balanced mid-range contribution as Brandon Ramos chipped
in 8 along with Mason Ceria who also had 8.
Matthew Miguel topped the Team
Ekahi effort with 7 points followed closely by Eric Tanimoto with 6 points. Ian
White scored 5 points and Hoku Aki and Anelito Palaran each had 4.
Kapa`a
High 63, Waimea High 76
Three players in double figures led the Kapa`a High
team to their win over Waimea High.
Jeffery Gimenez scored 18, Kapu
Hendrickson added 15, and Eric Robbins’ 10 points was followed by a 9-point
effort from Asher Cole and 8 points from Willy Carollo.
Waimea High also
had three players in double figures as Winnie Arios took high point honors with
14 points. Jordan Dizon and Oliver Villanueva each contributed 10
points.
Thursday night’s games have been rescheduled for May 14 because of
a conflict with the KIF girls’ basketball scheduling.
