Yamamoto wins Wallis golf

WAILUA – Kay Yamamoto won the 12th Annual Dora Wallis Memorial

Golf Tournament at the Wailua Golf Course recently.

Yamamoto carded a net 70 (103-33—70) for the victory.

Maryke Kelling and Ginny Ellis tied for second with net 72s, but

Ellis won the matching of cards tiebreaker to take second place

with Kelling taking third.

Cheryl Nickles won the closest to the pin contest on the 17th

hole. She put one 9-feet, 6 inches away from the hole.

She was followed in order in the closest to the pin contest by

Linda Uohara, Merlene Takemoto and Susan Orda.

An awards luncheon was held at the Wailua Family Restaurant following

the tournament.

Kay’s name will be inscribed in the trophy by Mrs. Herbert Randall,

the tourney sponsor and a longtime dear friend of Dora Wallis.
