softball standout Lyrissa Sagawa hit a two-run homer, two doubles and a single
to help lead the Hawai’i Pacific University Sea Warriors to a 7-1 victory over
the University of Hawai’-Hilo Vulcans on Sunday.
Sagawa finished also
finished the game with three RBI.
Two Kaua’i players — Leila Kamakele of
Waimea and Tiffany Laranio of Kapa’a — are members of the Vulcans.
Moto benefit soon
WAILUA — The Garden Island Motorcycle Club will hold a
benefit moto-cross race for Quintin Meheula on Sunday, March 26 at 10
a.m.
The cost to enter is $25.
Meheula, a rider from Honolulu, is
friends with many of Kaua’i’s riders. He was seriously injured in an
accident.

HANAMA’ULU — The Kaiola
Canoe Club and FM97 are sponsoring the upcoming 13th Annual Kaua’i Business
Canoe Race.
