at Waimea Care Center at the age of 100.

Sugar, he was born Feb. 28, 1899, in the Philippines.
He is survived by
three daughters: Maria (Placido) Valenciano of Hanapepe, Virginia (Vicente)
Besas and Rosalia Campo, both of O’ahu; one daughter-in-law, Betty Bolosan of
Hanapepe; one sister: Angelina (Ricardo) Madriaga of O’ahu; 19 grandchildren,
several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
family may call on Tuesday, March 7, at ‘Ele’ele Sacred Hearts Church from 8:30
a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow
at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are
being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
Teofilo Serrano Sr.
Savellano Serrano, Sr., of ‘Oma’o, Kaua’i, died Feb. 11, 2000, at Queen’s
Medical Center at the age of 71.
A stock clerk, he was born March 5, 1928,
in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Flora Carbonel Serrano of
‘Oma’o; six children: Blesilda (Renato) Looc of ‘Oma’o, Florante (Hilda)
Serrano of the Philippines, Edgardo (Lisa) Serrano of California, Estrella
(Rolando) Mendoza of the Philippines, Teofilo (Ofelia) Serrano, Jr. of Puhi,
and Aleili (Edgar) Bilgera of ‘Oma’o; one brother: Dominador Serrano, Sr.; five
sisters: Guadalupe, Virginia, Exaltacion, Natividad, and Juliana; 15
grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday,
March 9, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Chapel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation is again
scheduled for Friday, march 10, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church from 8 a.m.
