LIHU’E – The 12-year-old accounting firm of Hirose, Kato & Martin has
opened an office on Pahe’e Street in the Hana Kukui Center, sharing a building
with Kaua’i Electric, Ventura Development and Crane Eye Care.
The founders
are Roen K. Hirose, CPA; Michele A. Kato, CPA; Kelly A. Martin, CPA; and
Derrick Hatada, office manager.
The certified public accountants have over
30 years of experience, and offer the following services: individual, business
and fiduciary income tax return preparation; income tax planning; bookkeeping;
payroll processing; financial statement preparation; Quickbooks training;
audits; reviews; and more.
Individuals as well as businesses, nonprofit
entities, condominium associations and others are serviced, Hatada said.
The company moved to Kaua’i, and into its present location, after
acquiring the accounting firm of Jon P. Brubaker & Co.
The timing was
right for the expansion, and the opportunity came along at the right time,
Hatada said.
The firm has retained the services of Sandra M. Gimenez and
Lisa L. Bardago, formerly with Brubaker’s firm. Gimenez does auditing, tax
preparation, accounting and other functions, and Bardago does administrative
and some accounting work, Hatada explained.
