Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 61.
The proprietor of Island Service Station in Kalaheo, he was born Jan. 4, 1939,
in Kalaheo.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Wendell; daughter, Sherri (Michael)
Grimes; mother, Asae; brothers, Ray (Hannah) Hamamura and Roy (Katherine)
Hamamura; sister, Jean (Stephen) Hangai; two grandchildren; nieces and
nephews.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. at Lihue Christian Church on Saturday, Feb.
12, with private scattering of ashes at a later date. Casual attire is
suggested. The family asks that flowers be omitted.

Matsuyo Murakami Yokotake of Honolulu died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000,
at St. Francis Hospice West.
The retired co-owner of Waimea Poi Mill, she
was born in Kapa’a on Jan. 17, 1901.
She is survived by sons, Fujito
(Midori) Yokotake, Katsuki (Shizue) Yokotake, Matsuki (Akiko) Yokotake, Robert
Takeshi Yokotake, Fred Mutsuo Yokotake, Ronald Satoshi Yokotake and Floyd
Toshio (Jeanne) Yokotake; daughters, Kimie Ishihara of Waimea, Kaua’i, Toshiko
(John) Braga and Mary Haruko Yokotake; 12 grandchildren, 11
great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be
from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Feb. 11, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, with funeral
service at noon. Cremation to follow. The family requests that flowers be
omitted, and suggests that casual attire be worn.
