LIHUE — One of Kauai’s highly decorated student-athletes can add one more award to the trophy case. Kauai High School graduate Taegan Keep received a certificate of recognition by the Kauai County Council on Wednesday morning at the Historic County Building.

KALAHEO — A couple of young soccer players from Kauai will head to Spain to test their skills. Nicholas Semblante, of Waimea High School, and Whitney Lugo, of Kauai High, will join youth club Honolulu Bulls SC and compete in the Donosti Cup, an international tournament in San Sebastián, Spain.

Kauai cowgirls Coryssa Silva named to national rodeo

LIHUE — Coryssa Silva, earlier named the All Around Cowgirl for the Kauai Keiki and High School Rodeo Association, will be heading to Rock Springs, Wyoming as part of Team Hawaii to compete in the National High School Finals rodeo.
