Battle for Blue Water Navy VA benefits will begin again in 2019
The Senate adjourned Jan. 2 without voting on the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans bill, which would have expanded presumptive exposure to Agent Orange to tens of thousands of veterans who served on ships off Vietnam’s coast. Kauai Veterans Corner ends
Since 2005, the monthly Kauai Veterans Corner newsletter has served the local military community by providing a reliable, up-to-date source of easy-to-read information concerning myriad veterans-related programs, services and activities. While I assume responsibility for the newsletter content, the distribution of this information would not have been possible without the steadfast support of The Garden Island newspaper staff over these many years.
As I close this final issue of the Veterans Corner, I hope you will never forget for one moment that you are a member of the greatest fraternity the world has ever known.
