LIHUE — The Red Raiders girls have a perfect season.
Kauai High School’s varsity girls soccer team defeated Island School, 6-0, Saturday at Vidinha Stadium to finish its Kauai Interscholastic Federation season undefeated.
Kauai’s Kehela Ventura scored four goals, and Eryka Napoleon and Starlyn Soares each scored one goal.
Later on, Island School’s varsity boys team defeated Kauai High School, 3-0.
Cody Manibog, Kieren Mitchell and Alae Miike each scored a goal for Island School.
At Hanapepe Stadium, Waimea High School’s varsity boys soccer team defeated Kapaa High School, 1-0, to get its first win of the season and to hand Kapaa its first loss.
Braden Lumabao scored for Waimea.
In a varsity girls match, Kapaa and Waimea played to a 0-0 draw.
In a junior varsity boys match, Kapaa defeated Waimea, 6-1.
Kapaa’s John Movagar scored two goals. Dreyden Iwamoto, Makaio Gonsalves, Thomas Capelli and Anthony Durocher each scored a goal.
Michael Thompson scored Waimea’s lone goal in the boys JV match.
The KIF girls season concluded Saturday. Kauai finished an unbeaten 12-0-0 (36 points). Kapaa finished 6-4-2 (20 points). Waimea finished 4-6-2 (14 points). Island School finished 0-12-0 (0 points).
Kapaa’s varsity boys team (7-1-1 KIF, 22 points) will host Island School (3-2-5 KIF, 14 points) at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Vidinha Stadium. Kauai (3-5-2 KIF, 11 points) will host Waimea (1-6-2 KIF, 5 points) at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Vidinha Stadium.
