KOLOA — Ripping a page from P.T. Barnum’s playbook (and a hit movie) the folks at Kauai Christian Fellowship are creating a Sunday afternoon of free games, music, magic and more.
Dubbed “KCF’s Greatest Show,” the all-encompassing family event features non-stop live music, a bounce house, water slide and even a life-size whack-a-mole game.
Kauai Custom Cars will pull their hot rods and classic cars on to the parking lot for a car show and in the Southside Sports Center Crossfit will be having family friendly activities in-between games of archery tag.
In addition there will be an pickleball exhibition on the court, lots of games especially designed for small keiki, a cake walk, silent auction and piles of food and beverages as well.
Finishing off the evening will be a magic show featuring Denver-based illusionists David and Teesha Laflin.
According to Pastor Rick Bundschuh, this annual event is a way for both campus locations to get together with their families as well as a way to provide an inexpensive but delightful experience for the community at large.
“We always joke that KCF is like a ten-ring circus,” Bundschuh said. “This year we want to extend an invitation to the public to join the circus!”
When asked if there would be bearded ladies, ring masters, clowns and freaks, Bundschuh winked and replied, “Well, you just will have to come and see for yourself!”
The Kauai Christian Fellowship Greatest Show is from 3 to 7 p.m. at the South Campus, 2731 Ala Kinoiki, Koloa.
Under the guise of christianity? What happened to our Moral Compass? No mention of Scripture, services nor Spiritual life…..
What would Christ say?
Unbelievable that there would be a petty, uninformed critic of all of this.
He would say to be careful not to strain at the gnat while you swallow the camel.
Matthew 21:12-17. “May house is meant to be a place of prayer and you turn it into a den of thieves”..
Right, KCF’s wildly successful youth programs conceal classes in pickpocketing and shoplifting!
We’re going to call you the Petty Rev from now on!
