Kudos to Denise Ching and Lily Williams who flew in for Honolulu to help coordinate the Career Expo (Cherie Cabading was able to work the Times Supermarket table, and still make it to the KIF football game!) at the Kukui Grove Center. There is another job fair, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall (Brandon Yoshimoto of McDonald’s said he’ll be there, too).

Kukui Grove (was Licia McDonald of the Kauai Society of Artists gallery sitting, Saturday?) took off the wraps of its play area near Deja Vu (yes, Sara Miura made it to the blessing, too), Monday morning and Melissa McFerrin-Warrack didn’t have to worry about not having kids because the little ones came in force.
James Yamamoto had two little humpback whale volunteers (Hailey Kikuchi and Hoku Palakiko) to help with all the activities surrounding the dedication. Jean Souza, the Kauai programs coordinator, even got help from the new superintendent Josh Jankot (he’s based on Maui) who was enjoying his first trip to Kauai.
Kudos to Kukui Grove on the dedication of the Keiki Corner, and more kudos to opening the floor to the food court area, too…we got ‘Ohana Family Night bingo, Friday night benefiting the Kauai United Way.
