This past week’s public lynching of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, by Democrat Senate Judicial Committee members, including Hawaii’s own Mazie Hirono, went beyond the pale in destroying not only what was left of comity in the U.S. Senate, but attempting to destroy an innocent public servant and his family.
Now, before Hawaii’s progressive left collectively snort their morning’s latte out of their nostrils, let me be very clear; I believe this progressive insistence on espousing a “toxic femininity” as official American policy is destroying our country and our young men.
Since when is any American automatically guilty of sexual harassment based upon vague recollections that devolve into obviously unprovable, 36-year-old allegations, denied by all people claimed present by the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford? What exactly do you expect a reasonable person to conclude from her testimony?
Despite Sen. Diane Feinstein’s blatant, 11th-hour political stunt in withholding the Ford accusation letter from the committee, prior to Judge Kavanagh’s 30 hours of hearings, the Republican chairman of the Senate Judicial Committee, Sen. Grassley, bent over backwards to allow the charges by Ford to be heard.
Clearly, Ford’s testimony was ultimately unable to prove her contentions as credible even before Judge Kavanaugh could so eruditely refute them in his rebuttal.
Ford was unable to testify credibly as to the when, the where or to the whom of her accusations against Judge Kavanagh. Ford unequivocally failed to meet any reasonable burden of proof regarding her allegations.
American jurisprudence is based upon the common-sense guiding principle of innocence until proven guilty, not guilt automatically proven by mere accusation.
Let us not forget the fact that Judge Kavanagh passed six full FBI clearances in his long history of public service. Not a scintilla of this type of behavior has ever been uncovered. Progressive Democrats are now advocating turning the Constitution on its head just to advance their hate-filled political agenda, an outgrowth of losing the 2016 presidential election.
Just because a woman makes a decades-old allegation of sexual misconduct against someone, that does not mean those accusations are automatically credible. I do not know the truth of the Ford allegations, but I am neither Solomon nor God, and neither are the mad Democrat progressive senators who condemn him.
Without corroborative evidence, Judge Kavanaugh must be presumed innocent. Hating men and presuming guilt due to Judge Kavanaugh’s gender is both dystopian and horrific in its implications for American justice and society at large. “Crazy” Mazie Hirono’s advocating guilt by accusation and gender, her “toxic femininity,” is more in keeping with an ancient Grecian priestess of the cult of Isis rather than a modern American judicial principle worthy of emulation.
Watching as Democrat senators and their media propagandists dig up and then regurgitate spurious, salacious, unprovable and politically motivated allegations against a decent man, Judge Kavanaugh, is a thoroughly teachable moment for Hawaii’s youth and any honest observer.
Left progressives in the Democrat Party have shown themselves to be mad, power hungry, hateful beings who would destroy anyone who has the temerity to espouse traditional, conservative, Christian beliefs simply because they contradict their personal, progressive philosophies and their dying political power base.
Their treatment of Judge Kavanaugh was more in keeping with a 60’s-era Soviet show-trial than an American congressional hearing.
In my youth I was a neighbor of an older couple who had fled Hitler’s Nazi Germany right after Kristallnacht. Nearly 50 years later, their warning to me rings true in this time.
They could not believe how their country could turn toward a violent, evil philosophy seemingly out of the blue, but it did. Their warning to me was as clear as it was chilling.
Do not believe that America is immune from that type of evil. It can happen here, and in a relative instant. That progressive Democrats today would hasten this evil in America is indeed a chilling development, one that behooves us to teach our children to recognize the hate and evil endemic in progressive political philosophy.

Alfred, thank you for the most common sense, erudite, and impactful article ever printed in the GI! You are obviously a wise and learned man who all of us should listen to. The Democrat Senate Circus and the Clowns running it, especially Hirono, Booker, and Harris should be ashamed of themselves for their phony “Spartacus” assault on the American people and our system of Government. Innocent until proven guilty? This is not a jury trial, it is an important job interview for a seat on the SCOTUS.
Kavanaugh’s inability to maintain his composure and respect during his most recent appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and his inability to remain neutral in regards to political affiliations should eliminate him from consideration.
As the publisher of an e-mail letter known as the “Kauai Christian Voter,” a Christian missions project aiming to encourage Christian principles and participation in the public square, one would think that you have not really studied the life and works of Jesus. Jesus would not have applauded a man who is prone to excessive drinking and who is accused by numerous women of inappropriate behavior.
Kavanaugh, if confirmed to SCOTUS, must put his Christian belief system aside and make judgements not based on Christian (anti-abortion, etc) values but upon reason and humanity. To do otherwise would not be fair to the growing segments of the population who identify as atheists, agnostics, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, gay, transgender, or otherwise.
As a Christian, Alfred, you may be interested to know that the National Council of Churches, a coalition of 38 denominations (and the largest organization of it’s kind in our country), has issued a demand for the withdrawal of Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination. Of course, a number of other reputable religious (and secular) organizations had already done so, this is just one of the latest. On a personal note, I would just make the comment that a man of your age and supposed spiritual inclinations might want to lighten up on the name-calling, half-truths, and paranoia. These are not things that I, for one, would want to teach MY (grand) children!
Let’s ask Merrick Garland about how the Republicans behaved at his hearing. Oh, wait…
This letter is the work of a Bigot.
A bigot is best defined these days as one who can’t even tolerate the existence of someone different and certainly not their physical presence. Let’s just look at the mildest rant in this hate filled, bigoted tirade. Our Bigot assigns “morning lattes” to those different than him. He does this scornfully and also suggests that those different from him lack the soft palate strength to keep from snorting their coffee (that’s right, Mr. Bigot, it can be called “coffee” just like that Instant Nescafe that you drink!). Just consider how tortured and twisted this bigot has been for a quarter of a Century now as “those people” “came in here” and messed with something he could always depend on not changing for most of his life; that good old Java; that cup of Joe. Can you imagine the rage, by one so personally threatened by any change, as espresso swept the Nation in the 90’s or today, when it is difficult to even get regular coffee not hallmarked by neglect!
I’m sure everyone in earshot heard about the coffee; but, that which sparks a letter is the many cracks in old dependable dikes that surround our bigot today. We have the Shaming the Victim Dike, the Shut up, Woman Dike, the Go Along to Get Along Dike, the Boys Will Be Boys Dike, the Suppress Uppity Females Dike. I love reading letters to the editor and the comments about them, but I draw the line at the non-stop incivility of Pete Antonson whose personal attacks against anyone who is to the right of Joseph Stalin make me pass right over his comments unread. All I had to read was the word ‘bigot’ in his comment above and I knew that this bilious malcontent was at it again. Surely his comments are in violation of your TERMS OF SERVICE, or is that something that only kicks in for conservatives?
