Andres Bueno Agtarap
Andres Bueno Agtarap, 102 years old, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on Sept. 3, 2018, at his home. Born on Nov. 4, 1915, in Laoag City, Philippines, he was a photographer, business owner of Sonray’s Photography.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Adriana Andres Agtarap; parents, Juan and Anglia Agtarap; children, Virjilo Agtarap, Florimelda Agtarap and Eleanor Guerrero.
He is survived by his sons, Macrino (Vicky) Agtarap, Dominador Agtarap, Manuel (Cheryl) Agtarap; daughters, Myrna Joaquin, Aida Pascual, Remedios (Armando) Corpuz, Milagros (Elesther) Calipjo; 26 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymundo Agtarap, Pastor Agtarap, Mariano Agtarap; sisters, Frances Alipio, Monica Agtarap; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai from 5 to 9 p.m. again on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church from 8 to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. there will be a burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park Cemetery. Family suggests casual attire.

Concepcion ‘Connie’ Villapania Chang
Concepcion “Connie” Villapania Chang, 80 years old, of Lihue, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 11, 2018, at her home in Lihue, Kauai.
Born on July 16, 1938, in Koloa, Kauai, she was a supervisor-State of Hawaii Department of Transportation Airport Division Visitor Information.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda “Bree” KC Martin; father, Serafin Villapania; mother, Meletona Bonghanoy; sisters, Mercedes “Mercy” Vallejos, Dorothy D.” Loling” Low; brother, Julian R. “Robit” Villapania.
She is survived by her husband, Christian J. Chang, Sr. of Lihue; daughters, Verna (Moki) Okami of Lihue, Tanya (Ferdinand) Dosono of Kapaa; sons, Christian “Sonny” (Shirley) Chang, Jr. of Kapaa, Ryan “Koko” (Sheila Guzman) Chang of Lihue, Kevin Chang of Lihue; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul “Polin” Villapania of California; sister, Antonina “Nina” Mirafuentes of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue from 9 to 9:45 a.m. where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Family suggests casual attire. Omit flowers.

Masayo Yoshihara, 96 years old, of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 12, 2018, at her home in Kapaa, Kauai.
She was born on July 24, 1922, in Lihue, Kauai.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Masaichi Yoshihara; parents, Yoshigoro and Misu Tamura; brothers, Nobuyoshi Tamura, Tatsuo Tamura, Tetsuo Tamura, Charles Tamura; sisters, Miyako Takenaka, Chieko Ota; daughter-in-law, Amy Yoshihara.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Yoshihara, Gordon Yoshihara, Wayne Yoshihara; daughter, April (Michael) Womack; grandchildren, Leslie Womack, Len Yoshihara, Dean Yoshihara, Michele Womack, Kira Lin Needham, Marc Yoshihara, Daryn Yoshihara; great-grandchildren, Shylalyn Maluo-Yoshihara, Makenna Needham, Achiles Yoshihara, Kailena Needham, Ivy Yoshihara, Joshua Rego, Qinstinn Yoshihara, Violet Yoshihara, Maria Yoshihara, Dylan Yoshihara, Angela Yoshihara, Jonah Yoshihara, Emily Yoshihara; great-great grandchildren, Zayven Maluo-Yoshihara, Zaidyn, Zandon Gacusana; sister, Michie Yonekura; sister-in-law, Eleanor Tamura; numerous nieces, nephews.
Services will be held at All Saint’s Episcopal Church in Kapaa, on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. Visitation at 3 p.m. and service at 4 p.m.

Emily Vales Toledo, 87 years old of Lawai, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 26, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 19, 1931, in Eleele, Kauai, she was a retired housekeeper at Kauai Surf and Hale Pumehana.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Vegas Toledo of Lawai, Kauai; sons, Anthony Martin Toledo of Lawai, Kauai, Dennis Toledo of St. Mary’s, GA, James (Michelle) Toledo of Omao, Kauai; daughters, Barbara Jean Toledo of Makiki, Oahu, Cecilia (Eric) Edrada of Kunia, Oahu; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Henry Vales of Vacaville, CA; sister, Virginia Torres of Honolulu, Hawaii; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kenneth Peter Cummings, 81, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Aug. 22, 2018. He was born in Lihue, Kauai, on June 29, 1937, and retired as a heavy truck driver.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Charleene Cummings; children, Shawn “Cookie” Perreira, Ilima (Pat) Lopez, Kendra “Leinani” (Mark) Olds, Edwina “Malia” (Don) Kimura, Kenneth P.K. (Dawn) Cummings, Franklin (Cheryl) Cummings, Aaron (Leilanie) Cummings; grandchildren, Ryan Perreira, Kaleo Lopez, Jenna Kaluahine, Kai Lopez, Kaimi Lopez, Kysen Lopez, Jordyn Lopez, Jayci Au, Rayna Tandal, Nelson Au, Niko Kimura, Waika Kimura, Kenny Boy Cummings, Kyary “Tita” Cummings, Kaliyah “Tati” Cummings, Zavier Cummings, Aliyah Cummings, Makana Cummings, A.J. Iwao Nonaka, 92 years old of Hanapepe, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Born on Sept. 20, 1925, in Mana, Kauai, he was a retired as a farmer agriculture specialist and served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille F. Nonaka; parents, Jinkuro and Takano Nonaka.
He is survived by his sons, M. Nonaka of Hawaii, Dean (Nicol) Nonaka of Hanapepe; daughters, Doreen (Michael) Koga of Oahu, Lori (Shimpei) Yoneda of Japan; grandchildren, Michelle Koga, Shane Koga, Aiko Iwakado, Ryoka Linnell, Kell Nonaka, Sandie Nonaka, Harley Nonaka and Kai Nonaka; great-grandchildren, Yu Iwakado, Sara Iwakado, Micah Linnell, Alianna Linnell, Karissa Nonaka-Howard & Kalea Nonaka-Howard; brothers, Frank (Pearl) Nonaka of Lihue, Paul Nonaka of Missouri; sisters, Sakiko (Toki) Ueyno of Lihue, Clara (Charles) McCollum of Oklahoma; sister in law, Lorraine Teramoto of Oahu; numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Thomas Ah Nee Young
Thomas Ah Nee Young, passed away on July 2, 2018, at Hale Kupuna, Omao, at the age of 75. He was born on July 5, 1942, on Honolulu.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ah Nee Young Sr.; mother, Sapphire Kamoohila Kahele Noeau; brothers, Ronny Ah Yee Young, Ronald Young, Donald Ah Yee Young; sisters, Charlotte Kamoohila, Mei-Ling Young and Siu Fan Chan.
He is survived by his son, Koa Joseph Ah Nee Young; sister, Jermaine Iwalani Ah Mei Young; Brothers and Sisters of the Kaumuali’i Royal Order of Kamehameha, Gaibrielle Young, and the many friends who loved him.
He was an avid ultra light fisherman who enjoyed his fishing trips to Alaska, and a beloved member of the Chapter 3 Kaumuali’i Royal Order of Kamehameha.
A celebration of life will be held at Prince Kuhio Park in Poipu on Sept. 8, 2018. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. with service to follow at 11 a.m.

Hope Kaimihaauao Strickland, 52 years old, of Kalaheo, Kauai, passed away on Aug. 28, 2018, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on Sept. 25, 1965, in Waimea, Kauai, Hope was a Hawaiian language teacher.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Strickland; father, Keoki Keamoai; mother, Hauoli Niau; sisters, Judy Keamoai and Deborah Keamoai; nephew, Keola Kanahele-Keamoai.
She is survived by her sons, Patrick Keamoai-Strickland of Kalaheo, Samson Keamoai-Strickland of Kalaheo; daughter, Rosemary Keamoai-Strickland of Waimanalo; hanai children:, Noaa Kubo, Zymani Keamoai-Hall, Mahina Gardner; sisters, Faith Keamoai of CA, Charity (Chris) Kanahele of Kaumakani, Yolanda (Bradley) Betts of CA, Schylar (Peter) Frederick of Oregon; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
