Masayo Yoshihara
Masayo Yoshihara, 96, of Kapaa, passed away on Aug. 12, 2018, at her home in Kapaa.
She was born on July 24, 1922, in Lihue.
She was preceded in death by husband Masaichi Yoshihara, parents Yoshigoro and Misu Tamura, brothers Nobuyoshi Tamura, Tatsuo Tamura, Tetsuo Tamura and Charles Tamura, sisters Miyako Takenaka and Chieko Ota, and daughter-in-law Amy Yoshihara.
She is survived by sons Dennis Yoshihara, Gordon Yoshihara and Wayne Yoshihara, daughter April (Michael) Womack, grandchildren Leslie Womack, Len Yoshihara, Dean Yoshihara, Michele Womack, Kira Lin Needham, Marc Yoshihara and Daryn Yoshihara, great-grandchildren Shylalyn Maluo-Yoshihara, Makenna Needham, Achiles Yoshihara, Kailena Needham, Ivy Yoshihara, Joshua Rego, Qinstinn Yoshihara, Violet Yoshihara, Maria Yoshihara, Dylan Yoshihara, Angela Yoshihara, Jonah Yoshihara and Emily Yoshihara, great-great-grandchildren Zayven Maluo-Yoshihara, Zaidyn and Zandon Gacusana, sister Michie Yonekura, sister-in-law Eleanor Tamura, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapaa on Saturday, Sept. 8, with visitation at 3 p.m. and service at 4 p.m.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Angelina Velasco Manzano of Kapaa passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on Aug. 22, 2018, at the age of 90. She was born on Oct. 1, 1927, in Tarlac, Philippines, and was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons Antonio Manzano Jr. and Ronnie (Jeanette) Manzano of Kapaa, daughters Gloria (Jimmy) Valdez of Kapaa, Victoria (Jovencio) Escalona of the Philippines, Virginia (Julius) Yacas of Seattle, Cesaria (Floriano) Gacula of the Philippines, Lorlina (Tim) Aquino of Seattle, Mercedes (Patricio) Matias of Seattle and Corazon Manzano of Seattle, sister Angela (Manny) Roaquin of New York, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by father Mariano Velasco and mother Cesaria Payumo Velasco.
Friends may visit with the family at St. Catherine Church in Kapaa on Saturday, Sept. 1, with visitation at 8 a.m. and Mass to be held at 10 a.m., followed by a burial at St. Catherine Cemetery.
The family suggests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
