Paul ‘Morgy’ M. Morgan
Paul “Morgy” M. Morgan, 64, of Kapaa, passed away on Aug. 16, 2018, at his home in Kapaa.
Born on Sept. 26, 1953, in Berlin, Vermont, he was a retired sales manager with an auto dealership.
He was preceded in death by parents Maurice and Madelyn Morgan.
He is survived by wife Deborah “Debbie” Morgan of Kapaa, brothers David Morgan, Randy Morgan, Norman Morgan, Larry (Carolyn) Morgan, Marc (Tina) Morgan and Keith (Carman) Morgan, all of Vermont, and Brian (Sally) Morgan of Australla, sister Thelma (Michael) Carrino of New York, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Aug. 30, at Kapaa Missionary Church from 6 to 6:45 p.m., where services will be celebrated at 7 p.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Ying Wong Poai
Valerie Ann Mui Ying Wong Poai, 69, of Kapaa, passed away on Aug. 5, 2018, at her home in Kapaa.
Born on May 27, 1949 in Lihue, she was retired as a school-based health nurse with the state Department of Education.
She was preceded in death by parents Harold “Ah Lok” Wong and Mary Huddy Wong, and husband Mike Poai.
She is survived by son Michael “Roven” Poai of Kapaa, daughters Mei Lin (Kahuwila) Kanakaole, Malia (Ross) Gusman and Maile Poai of Kapaa, and Stacy Poai of California, brothers Sam (Linda) Wong of Kapaa and Dennis (Cheryl) Wong of Wailua, sister Moki (Freckles) Smith of Kapaa, grandchildren Breana Poai, Bryson Poai, Brayden Poai, Kahuwila Kanakaole and Kam Lin Kanakaole, great-grandson Trysten Poai, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Smith’s Tropical Paradise from 9 a.m. to 1p.m.
The family suggests casual attire.

Florence Lizares Duarte
Florence Lizares Duarte, 87, of Kapaa, passed away at home on Aug. 11, 2018. She was born in Haiku, Maui, on Jan. 3, 1931, and retired as a store manager with Tony’s Mini Mart.
She was preceded in death by husband Ernest Wallace Duarte, parents Vicente and Theodora Lizares, brothers Pedro Lizares, Benjamin “Ben” Lizares, Phillip Lizares and Charles “Charlie” Lizares, sisters Clara Cubero, Helen Rumbaoa, Lillian Traya, Grace Marie Glory, Irene Ruth Renio, Leonora Lizares, Leonara “Judy” Lovelace, Christine “Chris” Ramsay, Rosaline “Rosie” Amis, Genevieve “Sue” Hamada and Theodora “Ronnie” Lagon.
She is survived by daughters Jacqueline (Alfredo Jr.) Garces and Cheryl (Scott) Brede, grandchildren Kristy Arruda, Angela (Billy) Farias, Curran (Gabrielle) Doctolero and Courtney Brede, great-grandchildren Shelcee Camat, Gordon “Koni” Camat III, Jhaiston Lumacad, Brayden (Dayna) Farias, Breena Farias, Brevin Farias, Micah Doctolero, Waika Doctolero, Anela Doctolero, Ikaika Doctolero, great-great-grandchildren Kanoa Farias, Javen Camat, Lilly Fabro and Brenten Farias, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Aug. 31, at St. Catherine Church, with viewing from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
