For the past four years, Meghan Doubell has worked at the carnival. She said she enjoys her job because it is a family atmosphere. It will take about four hours to tear down the ride that has over 1,000 pieces, she said.

LIHUE — “We’re tearing down the fair, taking apart all the rides just trying to load our trailers so we can head to Kona next,” said ride operator Megan Doubell, who was tearing down the Wave Swinger Monday.
