Lawai pilgrimage set for Aug. 12

LAWAI — The Pilgrimage of Compassion will be held at the Lawai International Center on Aug. 12 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a program starting at 2:30 p.m.

The event will feature world-renowned shakuhachi (ancient Japanese flute) music by Grand Master Riley Lee, drumming by Taiko Kauai, bonsai exhibit, ikebana demos, lei making, coconut weaving, bake sale, silent auction, taro and mochi pounding, cultural and culinary demonstrations.

Donations accepted.

The Lawai International Center is at 3381 Wawae Road, Kalaheo.

    Compassion without the balance of Cause and Effect between the negative and positive forces based on non-religious creational justice is just another fantasy that will never work for the preservation of humanity. The evil ones only understand brute power consequences for their thoughts and actions.
