KALAHEO — Na Koa basketball program took two of its three matches Thursday during the youth basketball summer games at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Starting with Na Koa fifth grade division boys, Ty Kamoku dropped 11 points to lead the fifth grade Na Koa to a 28-22 win over the Hotshots, who got eight marks from Rhenz Panzalan.
Raindell Fernandez and Christopher Alicante each netted 13 points to lead the seventh grade Hotshots, who redeemed the loss of its younger team, 46-29, over Na Koa White — one of two seventh grade boys division teams.
Lindcey Constantino added 11 points to the Hotshots’ win.
Elias Shook topped Na Koa White scoring on 14 points.
The seesaw continued with Na Koa Green taking the final seventh grade boys’ match, 39-26, over the Thunder, who got 14 points from Joshua Rego.
Grayson Shimamoto and Ceejay Vidinha led Na Koa Green with 16 and 13 points, respectively.
The youth basketball summer league continues Saturday with five games girls division games on tap starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
The Kaulupono girls fifth grade division open against Na Koa followed by the Westside White fifth grade girls matching up against the Westside Blue in the 9:30 a.m. tipoff.
At 10:30 a.m., the ninth grade girls Ballers go up against the Lynx followed by the fifth grade Ballers taking on the Dream Team at 11:30 a.m.
The ninth grade Kaulupono girls end the day against the Dream Team in the 12:30 p.m. tipoff.
