Coryssa Silva stayed ahead of her sister Casera in all events but one during the latest Kauai All Girls Rodeo Association event contested at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu.
Coryssa picked up first place finishes in the First D of Barrel Racing, First D of Pole Bending, and Goat Tying to earn All-Around Cowgirl honors. The only event where Casera beat her came in the Breakaway Roping where Casera soared to the top on a 7.51 average on two go’s while Coryssa settled for fourth place on a 28.25 average on two go’s.
Coralyn Murayama and Kiara Ruiz shared the Reserve All-Around Cowgirl honors.
The next KAGRA rodeo will be held on June 24 starting with the Grand Entry at 10 a.m. at the CJM Country Stables in Poipu. There is no admission charge and food trucks are available.
