LIHUE — AARP Fraud Expert Doug Shadel will be on Kauai for a program, “Unmasking the Impostors,” at a free seminar on June 22. Learn how to protect yourself and your family from scammers.
The program will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Kauai Community College Fine Arts Auditorium.
Examples of impostor scams are someone claiming to be from the IRS and demanding money, or a pop-up box on your computer warning that your machine is infected and you need to click or call right away.
