Kudos to Laraine Moriguchi, Ron Agor, Harry Duronslet and the Kapaia Foundation on getting work started on reconstructing the historic swinging bridge over Kapaia Stream near Lihue. Although not completed, it will be a nice backdrop for the koi nobori which will fly in time for Boys Day (May 5). The Kapaia Foundation recently awarded Avery Miguel of Waimea High School its annual scholarship.

Mahalo to Coach Dave Walker (he couldn’t stay away from the track meet following last week’s Rotary Track and Field meet!) for updating the results where Kauai High School tracksters finished the night by taking the boys and girls team scoring. Congratulations to Taegan Keep on getting the top female honor, and Island School’s Joshua Graves for getting the top male honor for the Rotary meet.
