LIHUE — The 16th annual Parent and Child Fair hosted by Kauai Living Treasure Arnold Meister will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at the Kukui Grove Center food court area.
LIHUE — The 16th annual Parent and Child Fair hosted by Kauai Living Treasure Arnold Meister will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at the Kukui Grove Center food court area.
The event is free and includes organizations that offer services to families.
There will be a keiki ID station, the Department of Health, Department of Education, preschools and nonprofits providing information and activities.
“This is an excellent way for parents and children to discover what is available to prepare children for public school,” said Mary Lu Kelley of People Attentive to Children.
Officials expected to participate include Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.; Kauai Complex Area Superintendent Bill Arakaki; and Hawaiian Studies Coordinator Sabra Kauka.
Exhibitors will include Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii, Easter Seals – Kaua’i Early Intervention, and Kuhio Pediatric Dental.
Entertainment include bands from several of Kauai’s schools.
