Coco Palms is scheduled to be in court again next week, this time with a judge’s attorney arguing for a motion to strike a document that was filed by the defendants late last month.
The document, entitled Default Judgment and Notice of Entry, is time-stamped by The Hawaiian Judiciary Court of the Sovereign, and charges state District Court Judge Michael Soong for contempt of court with court orders and threatens to arrest Soong if he does not surrender.
According to a notice filed by Soong’s lawyer Robyn Chun, the document filed by the defendants is disrespectful, an abuse of the judicial process and virtually
incomprehensible.
“These allegations of wrongdoing against Judge Soong are complete fabrications; they have no basis in fact whatsoever and they are impertinent and disrespectful,” Chun says in court papers.
The Default Judgment and Notice of Entry are nonsensical, Chun argues in the notice, and contain legalistic gibberish, making threats of arrest without any merit.
“They can only be designed to harass Judge Soong and to prolong this case. Judge Soong respectfully requests that the Default Judgment and Notice of Entry be stricken from the record,” Chun says.

there are pleanty of places for visitors to stay without building another one. it is only going to make more problems on the roads and that intersection is already extremely overloaded.

How utterly disrespectful. Judge Soong gave these people far far more opportunities to be heard in court than they even deserved and they just had to take a shot at him. Based on other statements that have come from these homeless campers, I can only imagine how incomprehensible it is. Also the idea they’re following ancient Hawaiian practices is absurd. They have solar lights from Costco! And for whatever reason lately there’s been a lot more shady looking people hanging around the Wailua area. Look guys the show is over- time to pack up and move on.

Note the contrast in the way land disputes are handled under American law as opposed to the ‘ancient’ Hawaiian way. Under American law, the squatters are afforded the right to protest the rulings of the judge; in the ‘ancient’ way, squatters on ‘royal’ land were ejected off of the nearest cliff.

Didn’t the owner’s of the property made the call to remove the squatters 3 weeks ago? The KPD hasn’t done anything and now more homeless have now moved into BELLSTONE. Anybody with half a brain could have seen this coming. They think they can pull their crap anywhere they want. Great jon KPD ! The homeless are now using Charlie Hepa’s lawsuit as their excuse for all this trespassing/squatting. Our police department is an EMBARRASSMENT. ThIs is a Dereliction of Duty by the whole department.
