The E Kanikapila Kakou program will present multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Mark Yamanaka with musicians Bert Naihe and Edward Atkins from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.

From 6 to 7, they’ll offer an hour of lessons on the ‘ukulele and guitar, followed by two hours of music.

Yamanaka is known for his impressive falsetto voice, and Naihe also contributes his falsetto to the mix.

The trio is in popular demand, always bringing the house down with the audience begging, “Hana hou! Hana Hou!”

The concert will be held in the Jasmine Ballroom of the Aqua Kauai Beach Resort.

Admission is a donation ($10 suggested) to the calabash at the door, though nobody has ever been turned away due to lack of funds.

A no-host bar and food concession will be provided by Aqua Kauai Beach Resort.

The EKK program continues on Monday nights through March 19, when the closing evening is a ticketed concert featuring Makana.

EKK features Hawaiian music guest artists from around the state. It is hosted by the nonprofit Garden Island Arts Council.
