The three Kauai Interscholastic Federation baseball teams — Waimea, Kauai, and Kapaa high schools — will be part of the eight-team field, which includes Damien, Kaiser, Hanalani, Waipahu, and Mid-Pacific Institute.
Thursday’s schedule will have Damien taking on Kaiser in the 1 p.m. opener at Hanapepe Stadium. That game will be followed by host Waimea taking on Hanalani starting at 3:30 p.m.
Kauai High School will open action at the Waimea Canyon Park by playing the Owls of Mid-Pacific at 1 p.m. Kapaa High School will go up against Waipahu in the 3:30 p.m. game at Waimea.
The winners and losers from Thursday’s matches advance to a double elimination format on Friday and Saturday at both sites.
Saturday’s action is limited to Hanapepe Stadium with the first match starting at 8 a.m. The tournament championship game will play at 3:30 p.m.
