Court interpreter workshop registration extended

LIHUE — The registration deadline for court interpreter orientation workshops has been extended to Friday.

The Hawaii State Judiciary is seeking individuals who speak English and another language, as well as certified sign language interpreters, to become court interpreters.

Court interpreters assist the courts in providing access to justice to court customers with limited English proficiency. Court interpreters are paid $25 to $55 per hour, with a two-hour minimum.

The two-day workshops will be held Feb. 13-14 at the Kauai courthouse.
