St Raphael Church in Koloa will have an Ohana Mass at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The service is an adapted liturgy for and with families with sons and daughters of unique abilities and intellectual disabilities that they may fully participate in worship where they feel accepted and welcomed.
Ohana Mass invites all to worship and encourages persons with disabilities to do ministry and to be active participants in the liturgical celebration. Altar server, lector, usher and music ministry are all opportunities for special family members to Be Church.
The Ohana Mass will be celebrated the Third Sunday of each month and families from all Kauai parishes are encouraged to attend.
There will be refreshment and fellowship afterward.
