Marciana Malvar Quetula
Marciana Malvar Quetula of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 15, 2015, at the age of 79. She was born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, on July 12, 1936 and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Quetula; son, George Quetula; daughter, Elizabeth Quetula.
She is survived by two sons, Teddy (Melanie) Quetula and William (Eileen) Quetula; four grandchildren; numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Philippines.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Rudolpho ‘Rudy’ Ely Abara
Rudolpho “Rudy” Ely of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 20, 2015, at the age of 65. He was born in Lihue on April 26, 1950, and was the proprietor of Rudy’s Pressure Washing Services.
He was preceded in death by his father, Augustine Abara; sister, Evelyn Branco; niece, Caryn Abara.
Rudolpho is survived by his wife, Juanita Abara of Lihue; daughter, Jeannette (Shane) Markham of Puhi; sons, Rubin Abara of Lihue, Ryan Abara of Lihue; mother, Mary Abara of Lihue; sisters, Leonida (James) Cuaresma and Evangeline (Bob) Cuaresma, both of Kapaa; brothers, Orlando (Carol) Abara of Omao, William (Rochelle) Abara of Koloa; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Joseph Richard Brun
Joseph Richard Brun of Koloa passed away at home on December 19, 2015, at the age of 84. He was born in Eleele, Kauai, on September 18, 1931, and was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. Joe retired as a director with United Public Workers Union and the State of Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Josephine Brun Sr.; sister, Elizabeth Denzer; and brother, Manuel Brun Jr.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martina “Tina” Brun; sons, Peter (Joanne) Brun of Omao, Paul Brun of Koloa; daughter, Polly (Ryan) Lee of Lihue, Penny Vess of Lihue, Patti “Peejay” (Christie) Brun of Hawaii Big Island; hanai daughter, Jennifer Hurt; six grandchildren, Tina (Neri) Mungia, Tasha Martinez, Tedi (Nicolas) Bunch, Dawn Vess, Kayla (Kaniela) Matsushima, Autumn Lee; two great-grandsons, Jude Martinez, Larkin Bunch; four step-grandchildren, 14 step-great- grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Canno of Texas, Margaret Routt of Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at St. Raphael’s Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Irene Catbagan Williams
Irene Catbagan Williams of Sacramento, CA, passed away on December 9, 2015, at the age of 73. Irene was born on Oahu, raised on Kauai and a graduate of Kapaa High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kirk Williams Sr. and grand- daughter Jennifer Cramer.
Irene is survived by son Kirk (Stephanie Black) Williams Jr. of California and daughter Leilani (Darryl) Cramer of Tennessee; six grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; as well as mom, siblings and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
In celebration of Irene’s life the family will be holding a private service and has asked that donations be made to local charities in her memory.
Clyde Conrad Edayan
Clyde Conrad Edayan, 52, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Aloha Nursing and Rehab Centre in Kaneohe. Born in Waimea, he grew up in Kalaheo and attended Kauai High School.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Sally Eufemia Ceballos, and is survived by father, Conrado Edayan; brother, Leonard Edayan, and sister Cynthia Waters.
